He is married to Cheryl Waltman.Michael has been involved a broad spectrum of complex cases ranging from global warming, chemical exposure, environmental litigation, and groundwater pollution to lender liability and valuation issues following the 2008 economic downturn. Following the 2008 economic downturn, Michael coordinated multi-state asset recovery for financial institutions. He takes a practical approach to solving clients’ problems. Michael has been instrumental in obtaining Lone Pine orders in chemical exposure cases and in significantly lower claims rates for certain mass tort defendants by closely scrutinizing the number and type of claims and shedding light on why the claim numbers do not fit with the expected incidence of disease.
