He graduated from the Mercer University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1981. He received his college degree from Emory University in 1973. He is admitted to practice in all Georgia trial and appellate courts, in federal trial and appellate courts, and in the Supreme Court of the United States. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Hinman served as legal counsel in the State Senate, as an Assistant Attorney General in Atlanta, and as an Assistant District Attorney in Dalton and Chatsworth.
