Bio:Bykowsky has appeared as lead trial counsel in Florida circuit courts in every major metropolitan area of the state, and as appellate counsel on behalf of the State of Florida in the District Courts of Appeal and in the Florida Supreme Court. In February 1998, Bykowsky was appointed an Assistant Attorney General in the Tax Section of the Office of the Florida Attorney General in Tallahassee, and served in that position during the years 1998 through 2011. As an AAG he represented the Florida Department of Revenue in trials and appeals in state and federal courts, and in the Division of Administrative Hearings, on a state-wide basis. His work for the Department included matters of Florida corporate income tax, sales and use tax and exemptions, ad valorem (property) taxation, and other tax-related litigation with other state agencies as well as assisting local taxing authorities. During the years 2011 through 2014 Bykowsky was employed as General Counsel for a group of Pensacola health care companies that developed, owned and operated magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) centers in four Gulf coast states, and that started and operated a wholesale pharmaceutical compounding business serving physician groups in Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi. His work in Pensacola included dealing with state and federal health care regulatory authorities, as well as obtaining health care facility licensing for a new MRI business in Florida.
