Bio:Nick Wanic was born in Illinois but considers Milwaukee to be his adoptive home. He joined La Fleur Law in November 2021 as an associate.Previously Nick has worked with the Milwaukee City Attorney as an intern and later as an Assistant City Attorney. As part of its Ordinance Enforcement Division, he prosecuted hundreds of cases and handled numerous trials. Nick earned his J.D from Marquette University in May 2020, where he graduated as a member of the Pro Bono Honor Society and was awarded a Certificate in Litigation Practice after the completion of a specialty program of study. During law school, Nick was extensively involved in Marquette’s Moot Court program, participating in both the school’s Honors Invitational competition and as a member of the National Team. He continues his passion today by coaching and judging. As a student, Nick demonstrated his commitment to the service of others, volunteering with practicing attorneys to handle domestic violence cases and as a coach at the Marquette Law Summer Youth Institute. He also served as an intern working for Presiding Judge Joan Kessler of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and later for Chief Justice Patience Roggensack of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Illinois State University where he was an honors scholar.
