Until 1988, Mr. Cardarella was a Partner with the law firm of Quinn, Peebles, Beaird & Cardarella, where he represented high-profile criminal defendants in both state and federal matters. Upon the dissolution of that firm with the retirement of its senior partners, James Patrick Quinn and Alex Peebles, he became a sole practitioner. Mr. Cardarella has successfully represented individuals involved in personal injury and intentional tort cases that resulted in settlements or trial verdicts from several hundred thousand to over a million dollars. He has served on both the Criminal Law and the Municipal Courts Committee of the KCMBA, and was a founding member of the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Cardarella has been married since 1979 to former Jackson County, Missouri, County Executive Katheryn Shields. They have one child.
