Bio:Returning to his hometown in Jacksonville after spending all of his time during his legal studies and career in Tampa/St. Petersburg, Reid was eager to bring his criminal defense experience to our expanding firm. We were thrilled to bring him on-board and refocus on helping the people in our community in that practice area.After attending the University of North Florida, Reid was enticed to the Gulf coast by the law school that consistently ranks at or near the top in the nation in Trial Advocacy and Legal Research and Writing, Stetson University College of Law. He graduated Cum Laude, ranking in the top 10% of his class, and was a recipient of the Victor O. Wehle Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and William F. Blews Award for Pro Bono Service. After being sworn-in to the Florida Bar, he began practicing criminal defense while also serving as co-counsel for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Tampa Bay. Reid is on his way to becoming an award-winning lawyer and looks forward to providing legal guidance and counseling to the people of Jacksonville and its surrounding areas.At the Law Offices of John M. Phillips, Reid plans to practice both criminal defense and civil litigation.
