Bio:Richard W. Upon retirement as Chairman of the Duke Estate Planning Council in October of 2010, the Council established a scholarship at Duke Law School which bears his name. He received the 2010 Ralph H. Kelley Humanitarian Award from the Chattanooga Bar Association for exemplary service to the community of Chattanooga. The award is the most prestigious honor from the CBA, and was established in 1993 to recognize a member of the legal profession who has displayed exemplary service to the community by civic, professional and other activities directed toward improvement and preservation of the lives, property and dignity of its citizens.
