Bio:After his discharge from the U.S. Army, Bob enrolled in Tarleton State University, where he served as Student Body President. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law and became an Administrative Assistant to Governor Preston Smith. In 1970, he left Austin and opened a law office with Donald R. Jones, presently the District Judge, 266th Judicial District Court. After practicing for two years, he was appointed by Governor Smith to be the District Attorney for the 29th Judicial District of Texas, which composed Erath, Hood and Palo Pinto Counties where he served for 8 years. In November 1980, he was elected to the Texas Senate from the 22nd Senatorial District. He served in the Texas Senate for 12 years, was appointed as Chair of the Rules Committee, Jurisprudence Committee, and State Affairs Committee. While serving as President Pro Tem of the Senate he was required on several occasions to be Governor of Texas. Bob's practice has primarily been litigation and trial work. He has been involved in hundreds of trials in family, criminal, probate, personal injury, real estate, oil and gas, and business litigation. Bob has appeared in cases on over 50 different counties in Texas. Bob Glasgow has achieved the highest rating for legal ability in Martindale-Hubbell.
