Bio: A third-generation Texan, Ronnie Yeates was born in Houston and grew up with his family in Montgomery County, Texas. Ronnie received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice – Law Enforcement at Sam Houston State University 1997. While there, he interned with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, where investigated cold cases and homicides. After graduating, Ronnie went on to attend South Texas College of Law in Houston, during which time he also interned with the Harris County District Attorney’s office in the 184th District Court, assisting in the prosecution of multiple felonies, including felony DWI cases. In 2001, Ronnie began working for the Walker County District Attorney’s Office as a Felony Prosecutor. He prosecuted Aggravated Offenses, Felony DWI’s, and drug charges in the 278th District Court. Following his time at the Walker County District Attorney’s Office, Ronnie filled a newly created position in Grimes County as their Second Assistant District Attorney. Over the next 16 years, Ronnie prosecuted tens of thousands of cases from misdemeanors in Justice Court to 25-to-life felony charges, specializing in cases pertaining to weapons, DWI’s, drug charges, and transportation code violations.
