Bio:	What I Do: I help regular people protect their present and plan for their future by offering individually tailored estate plans and zealous criminal defense services. Who I am: I am an Okie, born and raised. I grew up in what was at the time the small community of Newcastle. I played football and basketball. I hunted and fished. I learned the Oklahoma work ethic. I’m the oldest child of two hardworking parents. My mom was raised in the small northwest Oklahoma farming community of Cherokee. My dad, though born in Arizona, grew up in the shadows of the Arbuckle Mountains. My parents taught my brother and me the value of education (they were both schoolteachers at one time), to deliver on our word, and most importantly, to be loyal to our family, friends, and community. In the summers, I earned money mowing lawns for my grandfather or picking tomatoes and onions from his garden. In the fall I played football, but I made time for quail and pheasant hunting with my dad. After school in the spring, my friends and I could most often be found at a local farm pond trying to hook a spawning bass or a mess of crappie. My Oklahoma childhood taught me to be thoughtful, caring, resilient, and resourceful. I’ve carried these lessons with me, and they are at the heart of my legal practice today. I attended college at Oklahoma State University. I not only earned a degree in philosophy, but I made many life-long friends. Most importantly, Stillwater is where I met my wife of 20 year
