Bio:Allison joined The Center for Family Law as an associate in 2013, having started with the firm when it was called Bauer Soule Garnholz Albin, and concentrates her practice in family law, including divorce, paternity, child custody, and juvenile law. Allison is a certified Guardian ad Litem and also practices law in the area of estate planning and probate matters.Allison graduated UMKC Law School in May 2012 with an emphasis in Family Law and with Honors for Pro Bono and Public Service. These Honors are bestowed on students who complete 200 hours of legal services to pro bono or governmental organizations. Allison achieved this honor while working as an intern for the Domestic Violence Unit at Legal Aid of Western Missouri, where Allison served clients in need of divorces, orders of protection, and paternity matters. Rounding out her commitment to family law during her legal education, Allison served as President of the Family Law Society and studied elder law and mediation to complete her emphasis.While President of the Family Law Society, Allison co-created and organized two annual trivia nights, raising over $16,000 to benefit the UMKC Child and Family Services Clinic, which offers free legal services for low-income clients in the area of family and juvenile law.
