Bio:Art Hernandez is a native of San Antonio, Texas. After spending almost 10 years as an EMT-Paramedic in the San Antonio metropolitan area, he returned to Texas A&M University to complete his B.A. in Anthropology. At Texas A&M, he served four years in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, where he learned leadership, self-discipline and responsibility; he also received numerous awards for leadership and commitment to excellence.After receiving his B.A., Art attended Vermont Law School in New England, where he interned at the VLS Legal Clinic, focusing on immigration, civil litigation and family law. He also spent two years as chair of the VLS Trial Practice Moot Court Team, where he developed a passion for trial practice and procedure. Art focuses his practice on both civil and criminal litigation focusing on Civil Litigation, general Business Law, Labor and Employment Law, Workers' Compensation, Business Immigration and Criminal Defense. He currently is the Chair of the Jefferson City Historic Preservation Commission; coach for the Jefferson City YMCA Youth Sports League; and is an adjunct professor at Columbia College in Jefferson City, teaching Criminal Justice/Procedure and Business Law and Ethics for the MBA program. His wife Jennifer is an attorney as well, and they have five children together. During his spare time, Art likes to run, fish, golf and cheer on his beloved Texas A&M Aggies.
