Bio:Carley Darby was born and raised in Cookeville and graduated from Cookeville High School in 2012. Growing up she loved four-wheeling, playing tennis, and being involved in her local church. Her dad always told her she was born to be a lawyer because she was the only person he couldn’t win an argument with. She always had a passion for “sticking up for the underdog” and “standing up to bullies.”Mrs. Darby then moved to Cleveland, TN to attend Lee University where she graduated in Spring of 2016 with highest honors, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her time at Lee, her passion to advocate for others only grew. She began exploring the legal field through various legal internships and determined that her dad was right, she was born to be an attorney.Following her undergraduate studies, Mrs. Darby moved to Nashville, TN to attend Nashville School of Law. During her time there, she received two Top Performance Awards, earned her limited law license and completed two juvenile trials, and served the Davidson County Habitat for Humanity by preparing wills for homeowners.Mrs. Darby worked fulltime throughout her law school career focusing primarily on family law and working at the Rutherford County Clerk and Master’s Office.
