David graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Political Behavior, and the University of Wisconsin Law School. He began representing individuals with SSI disability claims in 1974, is a former Peace Corps Volunteer, a VISTA volunteer and the Executive Director of Florida Rural Legal Services program. He is a frequent lecturer for the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the national Academy of Special Needs Planners, and the Florida Bar's Continuing Legal Education programs and for Stetson College of Law in the areas of Social Security disability, SSI, Special Needs Trusts, guardianship, and legal and financial planning for disabled children and adults. He is the co-author of the 90-page chapter on "Special Needs Trusts" in the Florida Bar's Lexis/Nexus CLE publication, Administration of Trusts in Florida (6th edition, 2010). He is scheduled ? to Circuit Judges at the 2011 Florida College of Advanced Judicial Studies in May on the Judge's Role in Special Needs Trusts.
