Bio:Peer Reviewed | David is a native of Detroit, MI and received his Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University while triple majoring in Political Science, Philosophy, and Sociology (2000). He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 2003 where he received the Book Award in Criminal Procedure: Police Practices. After nearly three years as a prosecutor in Sarasota and Gainesville, FL, David left for private practice in Northwest Florida in 2006. While he has primarily served his clients in criminal defense matters, he has also practiced in the fields of civil litigation, probate and guardianship law.During his career, David has conducted over 30 jury trials and has handled criminal cases ranging from DUI to Capital Murder.David is currently the President of the Okaloosa-Walton Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL) and also serves on the statewide FACDL Board of Directors. In 2011, he was elected to the executive board of the Okaloosa-Walton Bar Association (OWBA) and he currently serves as the board's Secretary. In 2011, OWBA honored David as the Young Lawyer of the Year. In addition to his professional involvement, David is also very involved in our local community. He sits on the Board of Trustees of the AMI Kids school in Fort Walton Beach and is an active member of the All Sports Association. He also supports our local military by acting as the 2013 Honorary Commander for the 33rd Operations Support Squadro
