Bio:David Weil is the managing attorney at Weil & Associates in Long Beach. He is one of only a handful of attorneys to be certified by the State Bar of California as a specialist in admiralty and maritime law.  He is also a "Proctor in Admiralty" member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States, and an Adjunct Professor of Admiralty Law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and Chapman University Law School in Orange, California.  He is the authori of several scholary articles concerning maritime law, and for over 11 years the author of the "Ask a Maritime Attorney" colun in the Southern California Lof Newspaper.   His practice is focused on the California Yachting and Workboat Communities, and his clients include marine lenders, yacht brokers and other maritime businesses, recreational boaters, commercial fishermen, workboat operators, marine surveyors, and licensed mariners.
