Ms. MacDonald was unfortunately what many people would think of a lawyer nightmare. We hired her mostly from Avvo ratings and a couple other lawyer sites. She seemed to have a lot of experience and her ratings seemed decent. She required a fairly large retainer and we paid. After one month of not much progress our funds were down half. My aunt who needed her service is elderly (79) , and has health issues. Needless to say this case has caused her a lot of stress and last week she was admitted into the ER from complications of stress. After a month and a half Ms. McDonald performed anyone's worst nightmare. She filed a motion to withdraw right in the middle of my aunts case! She claimed that my aunt was not working with her. This is a divorce case and as you can imagine, gathering over 30 plus years of banking, paper work, and forms could be stressful on anyone. Not to mention for a 79 yr old with health issues. Ms. McDonald stated that my aunt was asking the same questions over and that she felt my aunt wasn't listening to her.This is not true. Yes, my aunt has a bad memory but for anyone to perform as Ms. McDonald has done to an 79 year old is 100 % unethical in my book. I highly suggest that you look elsewhere. Believe this review and don't have to learn the hard way, there are many other lawyers to choose from. Save yourself time.
