Bio:	Douglas B. Davidson has practiced law in Orange County for more than 36 years. He has represented clients in a wide variety of corporate, real estate and finance transactions. In the mid-1990s he was in-house counsel for two financial institutions where he developed expertise in real estate workouts. Mr. Davidson is a 1973 graduate of Hastings College of the Law (Order of the Coif and Law Journal), and a 1968 graduate of the University of California, Irvine. Mr. Davidson started his legal career at the Orange County office of Kindel & Anderson, where his work focused primarily in the areas of corporate, real estate and finance. After 1977 Mr. Davidson practiced with several Orange County law firms before forming Corbett, Steelman & Davidson where he continued practicing in the corporate, real estate, finance and franchise fields and developed an expertise representing restaurants. In 1985, Mr. Davidson left private practice to become the in-house lawyer for Rusty Pelican Restaurants. During the early to mid-90s, Mr. Davidson was in-house counsel to several companies that owned troubled real estate assets from the "S&L Crisis." During this period, Mr. Davidson restructured or disposed of assets ranging in value from $1 Million to over $110 Million.
