Bio:Ms. Edwards received her law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1985. While at Northwestern, she received the Best Speaker Award and Lowden-Wigmore Prize in the Julius Minor Moot Court Competition. Upon graduation from Northwestern in 1985, she joined Latham & Watkins, where she worked principally on commercial and construction litigation matters, as well as complex commercial and corporate transactions. In 1992, Ms. Edwards joined the City of Chicago's Department of Law as Senior Supervising Attorney with responsibilities in the areas of construction disputes, government contract claims, government procurement, and insurance coverage. In 1995, she became the City of Chicago's Deputy Purchasing Agent responsible for government contract issues. In 1997, she became affiliated with Goodsmith, Gregg & Unruh LLP as "of counsel."
