Bio:Howard Burger has practiced law for over thirty-five years, and has tried numerous cases, argued appeals, appeared in administrative hearings and conducted alternate dispute resolution proceedings before state and federal courts, administrative agencies, and other forums.Following graduation from Harvard Law School, Mr. Burger practiced antitrust law with the New York law firm then known as Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler (1971-1979), where he participated in several major antitrust defense efforts, including cases involving major firm clients such as Xerox Corporation, Sony Corporation of America, and Texaco. Subsequently, he joined Hart & Hume (1979-1986) in New York, becoming a partner and specializing in contract suretyship and construction contract cases. Following that, Mr. Burger practiced with Berman, Paley, Goldstein & Kannry, LLP (1986-2006), where as a partner he pursued specialization in construction law counseling and litigation involving the heavy construction industry and major public works projects.
