Bio:Jane H. Fisher-Byrialsen is a founding partner of Fisher, Byrialsen & Kreizer, PLLC. She has extensive trial and litigation experience in State and Federal courts. Her current areas of practice include Criminal Defense and Civil Rights Litigation. She is on the Board of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and a founding member of the D.C. Law Students in Court Alumni Association. Ms. Byrialsen also serves as a lecturer in DWI law throughout the State of New York. Ms. Byrialsen attended Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she graduated with honors in 1999. She received a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in French. She went on to graduate from George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. in 2003. In law school, she was President of the Criminal Law Society and received the John F. Evans Award for excellence in trial advocacy. In addition, Ms. Byrialsen attended a summer law program at Oxford University, which focused on International Human Rights. Before becoming a partner at Fisher, Byrialsen & Kreizer, PLLC, Ms. Byrialsen worked as a public defender at the New York Legal Aid Society from 2005 to 2008. At the Legal Aid Society, Ms. Byrialsen handled thousands of criminal cases, both felonies and misdemeanors, as a staff attorney.
