They took him away in handcuffs and it was more then 10 years later before we would see him and my cousins again. Seeing my uncle taken away in handcuffs made a lasting impression on me. It has become my mission and purpose in life to use my years of legal experience and education to help immigrant families find a pathway to citizenship in the United States.
