Bio: Following his interest in politics and a desire for new cultural experiences, Kurt Klein attended Drew University in the Northeast, where he obtained his B.A. with a focus in Political Science and History in 2010. After graduation, Mr. Klein completed a service mission with the Drew Honduras Project in Talanga and La Ceiba, Honduras which deepened his commitment to helping and serving those who are less fortunate than others. Upon returning home to Hawai'i, Mr. Klein obtained his real estate license and worked at the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, where he learned about significant issues facing the Native Hawaiian community, which affirmed his resolve to earn a law degree. In 2011, Mr. Klein was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend the University of Hawai'i William S. Richardson School of Law. As a first year law student, Mr. Klein was asked to join the Native American Moot Court team, which participates in the annual National Native American Law Student Association Moot Court Competition. The competition involves written and oral advocacy with a focus on complex legal issues faced by indigenous people and their governments within the United States. Mr. Klein was selected team Captain in 2013, where he and the team earned awards in the national tournament. Prior to receiving his law degree in 2014, Mr. Klein was awarded the John S.
