Bio:Lindy Herman joined WHGC, PLC as an associate in 2010. In addition to a Juris Doctorate, Ms. Herman holds certificates in Intellectual Property Law and International and Comparative Law. Ms. Herman focused her undergraduate studies in Museology and received her Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in French. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Herman was the Youth Education Program Coordinator for the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, California. It was during this position that she became particularly interested in international intellectual property issues related to cultural property, fine arts/artist's rights, and the international exchange of ideas. Ms. Herman is experienced in assisting clients with their domestic and international trademark portfolios including counseling on trademark availability, selection, enforcement, and handling all aspects of trademark prosecution. Ms. Herman has resolved several U.S. and international trademark disputes including inter-parties proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), domain-name disputes under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP), managed foreign litigation through foreign counsel, and negotiated several related settlements.
