Bio:Lonnie M. Player, Jr. was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina where his family has maintained a strong business presence in commercial construction and real estate development for almost 75 years. Mr. Player is a 1989 graduate of The Fayetteville Academy and a 1993 cum laude graduate of Duke University. From Duke, Mr. Player went on to earn a Master's degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1995 before returning home to earn his law degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998. Mr. Player has practiced law in Cumberland County for his entire career, is a Past President of the Cumberland County Bar Association (2006-2007) and currently serves both as a member of the North Carolina State Judicial Council, which oversees the operation of the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts and as North Carolina State Bar Councilor for the Twelfth Judicial District where he sits on the State Bar's Grievance, Authorized Practice, Executive and LAMP (Legal Assistance to Military Personnel) Committees.
