Bio:	I was born and raised in Allegan, MI being the 3rd of 5 children. My father, Peter, served in the United States Army and attended college at Michigan State University on the GI bill. It was there he met my mother, Nancy. After MSU, my parents married and my father enrolled at the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State School of Law) while my mother taught elementary school and began a family. After graudating and passing the bar, my parents moved to Allegan in 1971 as there was an openning in the prosecutor's office and to raise their young family in a less crowded area. My father went into private practice in 1976 and continues to practice law today. I followed in my parents footsteps attending Michigan State University from 1991 to 1995 gradutating with High Honors. While in college, I spent my summers working in the United States Senate, Washington DC supervising Pages while also working in the cloakroom, an office directly off the Senate Floor. In the fall of 1995, I enrolled in the New England School of Law in Boston, MA. While in law school, I worked as a research assistant but returned to Washington DC after my first year to work for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee in the summer of 96. My interests eventually turned to the family practice and I returned home after graduation.
