Bio:Matthew A. Morris was recently admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has joined the firm as a tax associate. Morris received his J.D., cum laude, from University of Maine School of Law in 2008, where he served as Executive Editor of the Maine Law Review and was presented with the Student Bar Association Distinguished Service Award. In 2009, Morris received his LL.M. in Taxation from the Graduate Tax Program at Boston University School of Law and was awarded the first annual Ernest M. Haddad Award for academic achievement, character, and potential to serve the public interest. He also received a B.A. in Russian Language and Literature from Brown University in 2000 and a M.A. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Stanford University in 2004. He is a member of the Boston Bar Association, the Boston Estate Planning Council, and the Brown Club of Boston. He also plays an active role for the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association by helping low-income clients to negotiate with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. Morris also volunteers his time as a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay.
