Bio:	Associate Attorney Michael Groh first joined the Murphy Law Group in March 2014. Mr. Groh was first drawn to the issue of employees’ rights as an undergraduate student at the University of Delaware, where he participated in a mock court case involving sex discrimination under Title VII. While pursuing his J.D. at the George Washington University Law School, from which he graduated in 2013, Mr. Groh sought to develop his interest in employment law both in and beyond the classroom, serving as a law clerk at Sanford Heisler, LLP, a busy plaintiff’s-side law firm specializing in employment discrimination class actions, and as a student attorney with the Public Justice Advocacy Clinic, which provides free legal representation to individuals with limited means on a wide range of employment issues, including unemployment appeal hearings and wage and hour violations. Mr. Groh also experienced employment law from the employer’s perspective while working as a legal intern at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, where he helped defend Pennsylvania agencies sued in their capacity as employers under both Title VII and the Pennsylvania Whistleblower Law.Mr. Groh also served as a member of the GW Moot Court Board and the Public Contract Law Journal, where his journal note concerning work programs in federal prisons was published in January 2013.
