Bio: Mr. Totaro graduated from Hastings College of the Law in 1981 and proceeded to go to Washington D.C. where he completed a Master of Laws Program in Law, Psychiatry and Criminology in 1982. He returned to Los Angeles the same year and opened his own practice with Maureen J. Shanahan in February 1983. Mr. Totaro has practiced in every bankruptcy and appellate court in California. He has also represented persons on appeal in Washington D.C. Texas, Virginia, New York, Hawaii, the Court of Trade, and the Federal Circuit. He has also represented death row inmates before the California Supreme Court. Mr. Totaro is also licensed to practice in the Federal Court of Illinois, Colorado and Texas.
