Bio:When I was 5 years old, my grandmother would always ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I would respond I want to be a lawyer even though I had no idea, at such a young age, what being a lawyer really meant. It was not until I graduated from law school and returned to my hometown to practice law that I started to appreciate what being a lawyer could mean to me. Admittedly, I still did not have a clear idea of what type of lawyer I wanted to be or what type of law I wanted to practice. The first case assignment I received once in practice was a Child Custody case. I learned quickly that helping families and children as a family lawyer was the practice I wanted to develop. I immediately understood and was empathetic to the situations that my clients were feeling every day. I realized my clients were receiving advice and information from family, friends, and co-workers who were not familiar with the laws of this state. This can often confuse, frustrate and scare someone even more. My goal as a family lawyer is to help you so that you can rely on my experience and knowledge as we apply the laws of this state to your case. I am here to be your advocate and to help you navigate through the separation and divorce process. I am here to guide you and advise you on any issues that relate to the custody of your child(ren) and the support you may need or be entitled to receive. I am here to help so that you do not have to walk the path alone.
