Parker received a Presidential Scholarship and College of Charleston Academic Scholarship to attend the College of Charleston, where he graduated in 2007, earning a B.A. in both English and Spanish.While at the College of Charleston, Benjamin was a member of Sigma Delta Pi (Spanish Honors Society), and studied abroad in Trujillo, Spain, enabling him to proficiently read, write, and speak Spanish.
