Bio:Ed Nelson is a Partner with the Firm. He concentrates his practice on patent infringement and technology-based, complex commercial litigation. He also has extensive experience litigating oil & gas disputes and handles appeals at all levels, including the U.S. Supreme Court, the Texas Supreme Court, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Federal and Fifth Circuits. He began litigating intellectual property matters at McKool Smith in Dallas before returning home to Fort Worth and joining Friedman, Suder & Cooke, where he was a Partner/Shareholder for four years. Ed received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1996 and served as a law clerk to the Honorable James Baker on the Texas Supreme Court. He graduated from Texas Christian University in 1993, magna cum laude. While at TCU, he was nominated to, and inducted into, The Phi Beta Kappa Society.
