She received her Bachelor's degree (cum Laude) from the University of Florida in 1971 and her JD (Magna cum Laude) from Nova University Law Center in 1980.Her work experience includes six years as a trial attorney with the Broward County Public Defender's Office followed by three years as a litigation associate in private practice in securities law.
