Bio:I graduated in 1997 Cum Laude in the top 10% of my class and served as an editor of Law Review, brief writer and research assistant to Professor W. David East (published article in Southern Methodist University Law Journal), brief writer to Professor T. Gerald Treece for the Varsity Moot Court Team and clerked with the prestigious First Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas. I believe in mentorship and have chosen mentors / senior attorneys in the top 5% of the practice Statewide (SuperLawyers) at the best firms to work for and with so that I learned from the very best. Few lawyers value excellence or have passion in what they do. It is all about the money for them. My philosophy is very different. I am all about PEOPLE, CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY, FAMILIES, and making legal services affordable so that everyone has access to justice in Texas. Far too many people are priced out of justice and that is simply unconstitutional.  After 10 years working for top firms, both big and small boutique firms, plaintiff and defense, including State Rep. Craig Eiland, Mills Shirley, and King and Spalding LLP, I formed SCHWAGER LAW FIRM and began working in family law, guardianship, and special education, partnering with some of the best attorneys in Texas in those fields. Clients should never pay for an attorney to "learn" or pratice, which is why I rarely fly solo without very senior lawyers to frequently consult. I have advocated for special needs children and formed a nonprofit, ATTORN
