Mrs. Jane Waters is by far the worst Guardian Ad Litem in the state of South Carolina. She is exceptionally hard to get in touch with; however, when you finally are able to get into contact with her to speak about your case, she is unprepared and will ask you the same questions over and over again as though she didn’t retain your answer the first few times. Jane Waters will do the bare minimum when it comes to GAL investigations. She has been provided with proof that children were being neglected by their mother with actual pictures of scars and marks that did not come from regular play while in the mother’s care, but will not investigate further. Furthermore, she is biased and sexist due to her time serving in sister care, which does not give children any advances in having their fathers in their lives. She will continue to charge you for her services, but nothing will get done. She should honestly have her rights as a GAL revoked due to not investigating her cases thoroughly and thus putting children in dangerous situations that could have been avoided had she done her job correctly the first time. I do not recommend her as a GAL, and most certainly would not recommend her as a regular attorney, as she has a weak voice in the courtroom and does not know how to stand up for what is right in the cases she handles.
