In dealing with Proskauer, and in particular Nathaniel Birdsail, you can look forward to experiencing the loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars while also being told that there is “nothing that they can do.” In my case it would have continued into the millions of dollars had I not come to my senses and immediately fired them. The team of lawyers present themselves at the beginning as being able to accomplish great tasks, and then spend months or years billing you while at the same time trying to convince you that it is beyond their abilities to do anything effective. They will also threaten you with lawsuits if you try to break off the engagement. In the end, the only threats of legal action are againsy *you*, and not the third party that you hired them to deal with. Much of this may seem like standard behavior for dishonest New York lawyers, but in the case of Proskauer and Nathaniel Birdsail, their incompetence is staggering.
