Bio:Regional Winner of the Client Counseling Competition and represented the University of Texas and the Southwest Region at the National Competition in 1979. President of the Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel in 1993. Speaker, National Ass'n of Railroad Trial Counsel, National Meeting, 1999, Santa Fe NM; American Association of Railroads, General Claims Conference, September 2004; National Ass'n Railroad Trial Counsel, National Meeting, Boston MA, July 2005. Mr. Oberdier was selected by Florida Super Lawyers as one of the preeminent attorneys in the field of Transportation/Maritime for 2006. Mr. Oberdier was also selected by his peers for four consecutive years to be included in the 2007-2010 editions of The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Railroad Law. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1965 and served for twelve years from 1965 to 1977 in a wide variety of specialties and assignments.
