Bio:AV Preeminent | Stan Padgett was born in Columbia, South Carolina, and grew up in Kentucky. He graduated from high school in Montgomery, Alabama, and received a Bachelor of Science in Government from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1979. He graduated from Duke University School of Law in 1982, and has been practicing law in Tampa since then. He has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell by Martindale Hubbell since 1992 based on the opinions of judges and other lawyers in the Tampa Bay area. Stan worked for his father's civil engineering firm from the time he was 14 years old, surveying, drafting and doing inspections. During breaks from college, he did utilities construction work. After his first year of law school, he worked for a law firm in Mobile, Alabama assisting in a National Environmental Policy Act case arising out of the reconstruction of the Dolphin Island bridge after a hurricane damaged the original bridge. After law school, he worked with the Trenam Kemker law firm in Tampa for ten (10) years as a litigation associate and shareholder before starting his own law firm in 1992. Over nearly 34 years of practice, he has handled hundreds of litigation matters for national, regional and local companies and for individuals.
