Bio: Thomas Plotkin graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2008. While there, he published two articles in the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, argued before a three judge panel of the Connecticut Appellate Court as a participant in the Criminal Appellate Clinic (State v. Guzman, 110 Conn. App. 263 (2008)) and assembled a panel of scholars, human rights attorneys, and state legislators for a symposium on prison reform for the American Constitutional Society. He was also awarded the CALI Award for Excellence in American Constitutional History and Criminal Appellate Clinic. As summer jobs, he interned at the Federal District Court and was a summer clerk at Rome McGuigan, P.C. He found exposure to a rich array of practice areas at this mid-size litigation firm so rewarding that he returned after graduation. Prior to law school, Mr. Plotkin graduated from Wesleyan University, where he majored in Film Studies, and then spent fifteen years in Los Angeles as a motion picture and television writer and a television executive.
