We used Virginia for mediation, and I would not recommend anyone else doing so. During Mediation, we discussed very specific things, only to have something different drawn up in the paperwork. The result is that we have had to sort out the mediation document with our attorneys afterwards, costing more money. It would have been better if we had no mediator at all. The offer that Virginia communicated for medical expenses, was for me to pay the first $250 per year. I begrudgingly agreed with me paying a smaller equalization payment. I dropped a few issues, in agreeing to paying a little less in equalization payment. When the paper work was drawn up, there was close to $1,000 extra added for equalization and medical was listed as $250 per kid, per year. That is a potential $4,000 added. If specific offers are made, and the mediator comes back and says "we have a deal", I would expect the paperwork to reflect exactly what was offered.
