For his first six years of practice, Andrew worked for the Hartford law firm of Robinson & Cole, where he was a member of the firm's Labor & Employment Group, representing, advising and defending corporate clients, and gaining significant litigation and trial experience before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. He was selected as a formal mentor to the firm's more junior associates, and published several journal articles and book chapters on various employment law topics.
